The Potenza RE070R RFT is a Bridgestone Extreme Performance Summer run-flat tire designed specifically for Nissan GT-R super sports vehicles with all-wheel drive. The Potenza RE070R RFT not only combines athletic qualities on the street with extraordinary dry racing track performance, but it also allows temporary prolonged mobility for a distance of 50 miles at speeds up to 50 mph even after a puncture has permitted total air pressure loss. These tires, like other Extreme Performance Summer tires, are not designed to be maintained, stored, or driven in temperatures near or below freezing, through snow, or on ice.To blend handling and traction, the Potenza RE070R RFT has a high-grip tread compound molded into an asymmetric tread shape. Outboard shoulder blocks with semi-slick coatings and multiple continuous inboard ribs improve initial response and boost lateral stiffness, reducing uneven wear that might develop during heavy cornering. Twin steel belts are strengthened by spirally wrapped nylon in the tire’s internal structure to provide high-speed durability while maintaining a consistent riding experience. The Potenza RE070R RFT’s construction was designed particularly for the Nissan GT-R, and it has Bridgestone Side Sustain Run-Flat technology strengthened sidewalls to help support the car after a puncture causes a loss of air pressure.
